iPhiladelphia brings fresh recipes to your iPhone

Whet your appetite even when you're on the move: the iPhiladelphia app lets you browse new recipes.

Our brief was to get iPhone users interested in the idea of using Philadelphia cream cheese as a cooking ingredient, so we developed an app with a great design that beams tasty Philadelphia recipes straight to iPhones. Delicious and mobile - what more could anyone want?

We made the maximum use of the iPhone's own features when developing our app. For example, one simple hand movement is all it takes to call up one randomly selected recipe from a collection of 5,000 mouthwatering dishes.

Delicious cooking ideas shouldn't be left to chance though, so there is also a search function which only requires a few steps to find just the recipe you've been looking for, be it for a special event of one that calls for special recipes.

Then you can save your favourite ideas in your own personal cookbook. Shopping lists can also be called up with a single tap on the screen.

Philadelphia recipes get even tastier when you share them with other people. So it's a good thing that the app can send dinner invitations to all your friends at once.

iPhiladelphia is an application we created to address all of the usability and design requirements in the brief. iTunes app ranking proves that we got it just right: just a few days after iPhiladelphia was launched, it made it to no. 3 in the lifestyle charts. And there's more: the iPhiladelphia app also one a RedDot Design Award for its the outstanding quality of its design.
